Residential learning rooted in community
Established on 23 October 1986, JNV Chikkamagluru nurtures talented rural students through free, residential CBSE education backed by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
Whole-child focus

How does JNVCKM select students?
Admissions happen through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) for Class VI. A limited number of lateral seats for Classes IX and XI are filled through separate tests conducted by Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.
Detailed notifications are published on navodaya.gov.in and amplified by the alumni network. Coaching is not necessary—focus on NCERT fundamentals.
How can alumni contribute time or funds?
Start by joining the verified alumni WhatsApp / Signal groups and the email list shared during reunions. From there you can volunteer for mentoring calls, career days, or facility upgrades.
Contributions are routed through transparent batch captains with quarterly impact summaries published on this site.
Who should I contact for official school matters?
For transcripts, certificates, or administrative approvals, email jnvckm15@gmail.com or call the office at 08266-250604 during school hours.
Alumni coordinators can help route complex queries, but formal approvals always come from the Principal and the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (Hyderabad Region).
